"The starting point for the souvenir is Dutch culture. Over the last few decades, Dutch culture has developed more and more into a multicultural society. This will be expressed in the new Dutch souvenir. A series of archetypal souvenirs will be used as the material to start from.
New Dutch Blue
The ceramic windmill will be given some different decorations: Turkish, Chinese, Surinamese, and Afrikaans.
New Dutch Architecture
The archetypal KLM souvenir is the starting point: the blue Delft canal-side houses that people can collect. The idea is to make a more internationally-oriented architectural series (mosque, McDonald's, Vinex estate (combination of residential and business areas), etc.)."
