more about the proposal:
"After thinking it over last several months on the Dutch souvenir project, I always wanted to work on Dutch architecture as a theme, but more in a playful and symbolic way. I have been thinking about some typical architectural elements - which are unmistakably Dutch- such as the Bridges on canals, tall vertical proportions of domestic staircases, tall vertical facade of domestic setting. After searching and thinking over it, I discovered a strong, iconic architectural element- used on the pavements typically in Amsterdam. People lovingly call it Amsterdammertje. A simple post to define the pavement area on the roadside.

Taking Amsterdammertje, I am creating a totemic object in ceramic. Symbolic and meaningful Dutch Souvenir to be used as table top object."
