Hollow Land (N 51 24.928 O 05 19.640)
"About one third of Holland (meaning "hollow land") is below sea level. Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport is built in the middle of a former lake. Flevoland, which is also reclaimed from sea, is on average 8 metres below sea level.

The concept of "Hollow Land" focuses on the fact that Holland is not only flat, but below sea level as well. These topographical depressions are as iconographic as wooden shoes and tulips.

A mould is made of "a hole in the ground", somewhere in the Netherlands. From the mould, a perfect replica of the hole is produced in ceramics. Tourists can buy the hole, put it on the table as a dish or push it in in the soil of their garden at home to recreate "a part of Holland" as a constant reminder of their visit to the hollow land."

Dutch delight
"Holland is known as an open-minded country when it comes to drugs and...sex. The "Walletjes" is not just a dangerous and grungy red light district, but above all, it is a tourist attraction.

The sextoys we designed are not just a joke. They refer to the liberated sexual mentality of the Dutch people. Making a dildo out of porcelain is also a good example of using the right material for the right product.

Glazed porcelain has a soft and smooth skin which is pleasant to touch and easy to clean. The hollow shape can be filled with hot water. The cork is used to close it off. Decorated with Delfts' Blue motives, it becomes more than just a cheap sex toy for sale."
