For dutch sake
"Porcelain jenever bottle with two cups to drink from stored in the bottleneck.
A ribbon coming from the cork folds over the cups and is sealed with wax on the bottle
This seal is made on the two indentations on the bottle, which function as a grip when pouring out.
The Jenever set is a Friesland souvenir, to be made by a porcelain company in that province of Holland. The Jenever inside is 'Fries' and the decorations sandblasted on the bottle go back to old 'Fries kerfsnee aardewerk'. This was a decoration-technique used from 17th till beginning of 20th century where man cut decorations in clay when watching the kilns during the night when there were no computers yet to control firing processes."
Tulip vase
"The tulip is almost like a synonym for 'Holland'.
Therefor, a tulip vase seems like a perfect souvenir.
During a work period at the EKWC the idea for a tulip vase (a.o.) came into being. Black.. and by being black becoming a kind of spacious graphic impression.
Black porcelain: seemingly simple, but technically difficult and maybe even mysterious like the ancient desire for the black tulip."
