"When I was asked to make a Dutch Souvenir I did not think of wooden shoes or windmills but a cake called &rsquo Bossche Bol’ and is made out of black chocolate and cream. It goes without saying that I like this cake very much but I also find it interesting to look at. Den Bosch is the place in the Netherlands where this cake comes from. Therefore I found it suitable to attach it to a saucer. For me those two things melted together make a personal souvenir that belongs to the country and me."
